This week I tried two different places that I
really enjoyed. I'm very big on a good atmosphere, which is what I found in
these two places. Each of them was different in there own ways, but both of them
were a good time.
The first place I went to was Millers Ale House
in Levittown. Though I went to the one in Levittown there are Miller's Ale
House's all over Long Island. First off, it is really big at Millers and they
accommodate their customers very quickly. They have phenomenal prices on
everything and Monday-Thursday after 10 pm is half off appetizers. I had the
steamed clams, loaded fries, and French onion soup. Everything was delicious!
And extremely affordable for a college student to say the least. The cool part
about millers ale house is that you could go out to dinner there or you can go
out there at night time because there is a back bar which has music playing. On
the weekends Millers is a good place to hang out at as well and they usually have
good music playing! Miller's Ale House is known especially for their Zingers.
Though I did not have the Zinger's this time at Miller's I've had them before
and they are delicious, I recommend that any wing lover should try them.
The second place I went to was Lilly Flannigan’s
in Babylon. It not only was convenient because it is a train ride away, but it
is also right when you walk off of the train platform as well. It is $5 dollars
to get in for both sexes and they have a free coat check which is nice. The
good part about this bar is though there is a dance floor and plenty of room to
dance there is also an upstairs were there is room to talk and relax by the
bar! They always have the best music on whether it's today's hits or Oldies
like Nsync and Spice Girls. Also the outside is heated so people who smoke
don't need to freeze while smoking a cigarette! My favorite part about Lilly's
is that Friday and Saturday nights there are beer specials. Friday night is 2
bud lights for $5 until midnight and Saturday night is 2 for $6 coronas until
midnight as well. Friday nights definitely are more of a younger crowd while
Saturdays are more of an older crowd.
