This week's featured wine and dine restaurant is The Vine Wine Bar in Merrick. This Wine Bar just recently opened up and perfect for wine lovers. You can taste all different glasses of wine and if you love the wine you can also purchase it as well. This wine bar also has small-portioned meals/snacks, beer, and different types of martini's as well.

The Post Office Cafe is this week's featured Casual go to place! The Post Office Cafe is a nice casual hangout spot. The service is always good and the staff is very polite. The food is delicious and there are a variety of food options as well for the picky eaters out there! There is a good beer selection and they also offer good mixed drinks as well. 


Within the past few years they just recently expanded The Post Office Cafe, which makes it more spacious for the people who are going there to hang out on the weekends, and may I add it does get crowded on the weekends. There is a main bar area and now with this extra room added there is more room to hangout when the main bar area becomes too crowded.

• Each night of the week they offer a different drink special
• During the Summer, Tuesday nights are Lifeguard Nights

Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall

This place is a 21 year-old and over pub and concert hall where various bands perform. Each Friday is concert nights. They have a band a week.  Tickets to see these bands can be purchased at the Mulcahy’s box office or at Ticketmaster.

Mulcahy's is best known for their "WEEDS"night in the summer time. WEEDS nights are every Monday night all summer long and WEEDS officially returns Monday, May 12th, 2014. It is the hottest dance party on Long Island. There is a huge dance floor with 2 full bars and 1 outdoor bar. It is a spacious place which makes it bearable in the summer time! 

Admission begins at 10 p.m. and with a WEEDS card admission is free. Usually if you go the first few weeks of WEEDS they are giving them away for free as well. The good thing about WEEDS is that Bud Light Bottles are $3.50 and mixed drinks are $3.50 as well. You can't beat the prices!

Also Monday-Friday Mulcahy's offers Happy Hour specials from 5-7 p.m. and on Friday nights Happy Hour is from 3-8 p.m. This place is convenient for many people because you can usually take the train right to Wantagh and when you get off the train it is directly across the street from the train platform.
